Valérie Swaen

Prof. Valérie Swaen has a PhD in Management Sciences from the Université catholique de Louvain and teaches marketing and corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the Louvain School of Management (Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium) and at IESEG School of Management (France).
She is the head of the Louvain CSR Network of the Louvain School of Management (https://uclouvain.be/en/faculties/lsm/csr-network.html), where she holds (or held) different Chairs in CSR (e.g., Solvay, Spadel, SNCB, essenscia). She is currently the president of the Louvain Research Institute in Management & Organizations (LouRIM, UCLouvain). Valérie Swaen's research focuses on the reactions of corporate stakeholders (e.g., employees, consumers) to CSR activities and communications. She studies how companies organize their CSR and sustainability reporting and communication strategies. Valérie Swaen is also involved in projects on teaching CSR and sustainability issues in universities and business schools. She has published academic papers in international journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Management Reviews, and Marketing Letters among others.
