His research lies at the intersection of sustainability and paradox theory with the aim of understanding the management and the outcomes of corporate sustainability complexity. In his research he adopts both an organizational – investigating how organizations manage sustainability complexity – and a systems level of analysis – conducting research on sustainability tensions and power in global value chains.
