Simone is a co-author of Stakeholder Theory: The State of the Art, with R. Edward Freeman et al., published in 2010 by Cambridge University Press, and has presented his research at more than forty international events, such as the EBEN-European Business Ethics Network and the SBE-Society for Business Ethics annual conferences. He served as Council Member of the Institute of Social and Ethical AccountAbility, London, and as expert member of the ISO Working Group on Social Responsibility, contributing to the drafting of ISO 26000.
He has taught courses in these fields to undergraduates, MBA students and corporate executives in Italy (University of Trento, LIUC University and University of Milan), Switzerland (University of Geneva), Ireland (Dublin City University) and in the United States (University of Virginia).
He received his PhD in Management and Business Ethics from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. His research interests include Business Ethics, Stakeholder theory and entrepreneurship, focusing on value creation and ethical decision-making in organizational contexts.
