Julie’s research interests focus on socially responsible organizations, alternative organizational forms such as employee owned cooperatives, and more recently, mindfulness in the workplace. Her latest publications are in the Journal of Entrepreneurship & Regional Development: “Exploring the interplay between context and enterprise purpose in participative social entrepreneurship: the perceptions of worker cooperative entrepreneurs” (2021) and in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences: “An integrative model of corporate mindfulness: A systematic literature review.” (2021)
Julie is also active in integrating mindfulness in her own workplace and has developed an elective course ‘Mindfulness & Management’ for the Grande Ecole and IMBA program and has also facilitated numerous introductory mindfulness sessions for IESEG staff. She obtained her Level 1 Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certification from Brown Mindfulness Center at Brown University in 2019. Julie believes that mindfulness is both a radical and strategic act we can undertake to foster individual and systemic change for a better society
